Camp Halibut – Sea fishing on Sørøya

Our concept

Camp Halibut offers complete weekly packages that combine accommodation with rental boats. Each package covers one full week and is based on the stated number of boats and group capacity. We therefore do not rent individual beds, single fishing days or parts of a package.

The package price covers the whole group and remains the same regardless of how many guests share it, up to the stated capacity. The per-person price is lowest when the group fills the package. Larger groups book accommodation with several boats or combine packages.

The package includes accommodation, the stated number of Arronet rental boats and access to the filleting room, freezers and drying room. Guiding, the guide boat, fishing tackle, flotation suits, airport transfers and fuel are selected or charged separately.

Guiding

Guiding costs NOK 5,000 per day per boat or NOK 27,000 for six fishing days. Fishing tackle is included with six days of guiding. The Arronet 30CC upgrade costs NOK 15,000 per week in addition to guiding and the package. Individual days cost an additional NOK 3,000 and can only be arranged subject to availability at camp.

Extras

Fishing tackle hire costs NOK 900 per person per week. A flotation suit costs NOK 600 per person per week. A return airport transfer costs NOK 2,000 and includes one visit to the shop. Fuel and purchases at camp are charged separately. The camp is cash-free and accepts cards.

Deposit

A booking is confirmed when 20% of the package and selected extras has been paid. Pay the full amount immediately to receive a 5% discount on that amount. Fuel and purchases not included in the booking are not discounted.

The remaining balance is due no later than 120 days before arrival. If the trip is booked within 120 days of arrival, the full amount is paid immediately when booking.

Reservation

The deposit can be divided among named participants. Each person receives a unique card-payment link. The amounts are authorised on their cards and captured once everyone is ready. The booking is confirmed only after every amount has been captured. The whole group receives a reminder two hours before the deadline. An incomplete reservation expires after 24 hours and the card authorisations are cancelled.

Cancellation terms

For cancellations more than 120 days before arrival, the 20% deposit is refunded if the place is resold. Otherwise, the place is offered with a 20% discount and the deposit is not refunded. For bookings paid in full, reimbursement is made only if the place is filled.
