Haddock are not only superb eating; they fight wonderfully on light tackle. On many evenings, fish averaging more than 2 kg can be caught a stone’s throw from camp. A plaice rig or a rig with small squid skirts, baited with whole prawns, works well. Two or three fairly large hooks help keep tangles manageable. Try it one evening during your stay: evening fishing is considerably better than daytime fishing.
The camp record listed is 3.8 kg, caught by guide Daniel Eriksson just outside camp.
